S.C. RELEASING ORAL ARGUMENT TRANSCRIPTS ON SAME DAY
Litigation consultant Linda Sherman’s newsletter has reported a new Supreme Court policy under which oral argument transcripts will be released on the Court’s website on a same-day basis. Formerly same-day transcripts required a fee, and free transcripts of oral arguments normally were not available for a few weeks. The new policy will be helpful to anyone interested in the positions being presented to the Court in key cases involving tort, injury causation and related issues, as well as the Justices’ questions.
