VIDEO OF NTSB MOTORCYCLE SAFETY SYMPOSIUM NOW ONLINE

NTSB’s website has posted video of the Board’s recent two-day symposium on motorcycle safety. Purpose of the symposium, the Board said, was “to gather information about ongoing motorcycle safety research and initiatives, as well as safety countermeasures that may reduce the likelihood of motorcycle accidents and fatalities." Panelists at the symposium were drawn from government, industry, the cycling community, emergency care and other medical specialties, insurance, and education. Panel topics included Trends and Safety Statistics, Vehicle Design, Rider Protective Equipment, Training and Licensing, Public Education/Awareness, Rider Impairment, and Future Directions.
