CNN FOCUSES ON TOWN CAR FIRE DEATH CASE

CNN devoted a lengthy segment of its programming on January 23 to the settlement of litigation against Ford Motor Company for the burn deaths of three sisters in a Lincoln Town Car which was rear-ended by another vehicle. The case was settled just before it went to trial in North Carolina. The parents of the girls are asking Ford to retrofit all regular models of the Town Car with the same protective devices that it provided for police cars after fuel tank ruptures and crash fires in those vehicles became widely known.
