IIHS CHIEF RETIRES

Brain O'Neill, president of the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety, has retired from the position. Adrian Lund, formerly the IIHS senior vice president, has taken his place. O'Neill was best known for having overseen the construction and use of IIHSs crash test facility in Charlottesville, Va., where it carried out a range of highly publicized impact tests evaluating the safety performance of new vehicles.
